An art center in Yaakov’s memory. His work becamethe visual language.
The project.

A sensitive request: the family wanted to establish an art center in Yaakov’s memory — a place for courses for all ages, built around the vision and language he left behind. To start raising funds, they needed a page that could accept donations.
There were a few photographs, a few texts and a payment system, but no campaign material. The story, the visual language and the content had to be drawn from sensitive source material without turning it into a display. Another party ran the campaign; we built the page and its payment infrastructure.
The decisions.
The language is derived from Yaakov, not from a template
We took works and visual elements Yaakov created during his studies, took them apart and put them back together, and from that metamorphosis built the campaign's language. We did not dress a story in a generic memorial template.
A small, clear decision group
We explained that the whole family cannot act as decision-maker at once, and asked them to appoint a representative or two. That was not managerial coldness — it is what protected the family from returning, again and again, to every painful choice.
Telling without exploiting
The story had to be told enough to raise funds, and not one step beyond. Every content decision was tested with one question: will the family be comfortable with this a year from now.
Going live on time
Fundraising has a window. With very little source material, the date was a real constraint, not an aspiration.
What we built.
Color system — derived from the materials, not picked from a catalog
The colors were not invented — they came out of the works: the wood of the models, the paper of the drawings, the pencil. Heebo carries the reading, and Yaakov's handwriting is the display voice — the quote that opens the site is written in it. Contrast was measured against the warm paper.
The scope
One team, from research to maintenance.
- Direction and source materialConcept, careful discovery with the family, and selecting the photographs, texts and works.
- Copy and visual identityThe story and content, and a visual language derived from Yaakov’s works.
- Website and accessibilityThe page, built and launched. Accessibility was built into the page. No independent accessibility audit was performed.
- Payments, hosting and supportThe payment system and donation infrastructure, hosting, ongoing support and help with the legal coordination.
